Boston, MA). Moved to Boston area after 1827, Relocated to Hartford, CT with his famiily ca. 1850.

Occupation: Carpenter and/or Brickmason (per ship's passenger manifest of 1827).

JOHN¹ GIBBS married RUTH PARKE on December 22, 1822 at Petite Riviere, Nova Scotia. She was the dau. of
JAMES and JANE REBECCA PARKE of Lunenburg Co, Nova Scotia. JOHN¹ and RUTH GIBBS had five children
including twin sons, JOHN² and MATHEW² PARKE GIBBS.
RUTH GIBBS died April 11, 1828, at the age of 36 years, and is buried in the Old Burial Ground in Petite Riviere, NS
