Boston, MA). Moved to Boston area after 1827, Relocated to Hartford, CT with his famiily ca. 1850.
Occupation: Carpenter and/or Brickmason (per ship's passenger manifest of 1827).

JOHN1 GIBBS married RUTH PARKE on December 22, 1822 at Petite Riviere, Nova Scotia. She was the dau. of
JAMES and JANE REBECCA PARKE of Lunenburg Co, Nova Scotia. JOHN1 and RUTH GIBBS had five children
including twin sons, JOHN2 and MATHEW2 PARKE GIBBS.
RUTH GIBBS died April 11, 1828, at the age of 36 years, and is buried in the Old Burial Ground in Petite Riviere, NS
