Notes

Generation No. 1
RICHARD1 "RG" GIBBS married SARAH "SALLY" ANN KITE/KIGHT ca. 1830. She was probably the dau. of either SAMUEL KITE
or DAVID KITE. The KITEs were from Pitt Co, NC and later moved to Fayette Co, GA. SARAH(KITE) GIBBS named some of her
children after some of the KITEs whom are thought to have been her brothers. HOLLY KITE lived with RICHARD1 and SARAH
(KITE) GIBBS
in their Cleburne Co, AL home (ref. 1870 US Census) because HOLLY wanted to remain in AL when her parents
moved to Texas (if they actually moved or not is unconfirmed, however, CASWELL KITE and his wife, HARRIETT KITE - who
was the sister of HULDAH KITE - did move to Texas). HOLLY KITE was a dau. of MAJOR KITE and
HULDAH KITE.
HULDAH was the dau. of DAVID KITE and HOLLY HOLLAND, so a cousin married a cousin.

HULDAH KITE, was married first to CHURCHWELL KITE, who died young, and was the brother of her second husband,
MAJOR
KITE who married her on 19 October 1837. RICHARD1 "RG" GIBBS and SARAH "SALLY"ANN (KITE/KIGHT) appear to have moved to
Fayette Co, GA along with the KITE/KIGHT family
. RG and SALLY had 8 children.
